Intel Quick Sync Video can be utilized for decoding streams in the DW Spectrum desktop client on Windows computers with compatible CPUs. This will free up CPU resources for other tasks and greatly benefit computers with low power hardware (e.g. Intel Atom, Celeron). This opens up the ability to decode very high resolution (e.g. 16MP, 32MP) cameras and streams for a greater number of systems. This option is disabled by default.
To enable Intel Quick Sync Video, open Main Menu and choose Local Settings > Advanced, check Use Hardware Video Decoding, and click Apply or OK. The video item must be removed from the Layout and then added back for this change to take effect.
IMPORTANT: Hardware decoding is disabled on computers with more than one GPU and the primary one is not Intel. The Intel GPU needs to be set as the "primary display" to be able to enable hardware decoding.
