Enabling Archive Encryption

DW Spectrum stores the recorded footage in a file system and it can be accessed and viewed by someone who has physical/network access to a Storage. This setting encrypts archive data to prevent it from being viewed outside of the DW Spectrum system (Desktop Client, Mobile Client, Web Admin, or Cloud Portal).

To Enable Archive Encryption

1.Open Main Menu > System Administration > Security tab.

2.Toggle the Archive encryption switch.

3.Set a password to encrypt the archive. The encryption password will be required to restore the archive on another system but will not be required to enter the encryption password to view the video archive within the system.

! IMPORTANT: This password cannot be reset. If you lose it, the archive will be unrecoverable.
